Built by people who've been on both ends of the hold music
ClinicFlow exists because a practicing spine surgeon got tired of watching patients lost, staff burned out, and urgent calls buried in voicemail — and decided the phone system should work the way a surgical practice actually works.
Why ClinicFlow exists
Every surgical practice has the same phone problem. During clinic hours, the front desk is choosing between the patient standing at the counter and the 3 lines ringing behind them. After hours, everything — the appointment request, the refill question, and the post-op patient with numbness that shouldn't wait — lands in the same voicemail box. Answering services take messages. Patients hang up and book with whoever answers.
ClinicFlow's founding insight was that this is not a staffing problem to be managed but an infrastructure problem to be solved: a voice AI built specifically for orthopedic, spine, and surgical practices could answer every call, schedule directly in the EMR, and — the part generic AI receptionists can't do — triage clinical calls with thresholds a surgeon would actually sign off on.
Physician-founded, and it shows
ClinicFlow was founded by Comron Saifi, MD, a practicing spine surgeon, together with co-CEO Neel Patel. The team spans engineering, voice AI, and healthcare operations, but the product decisions start from clinical reality:
- The escalation threshold — what's worth texting the on-call surgeon at 2 a.m. — was designed by someone who takes that call himself.
- Scheduling logic respects global periods, injection-series cadences, and sub-specialty routing because the founder has lived the billing consequences when they're ignored.
- Clinical summaries go into the EMR, not a new inbox, because the team knows nobody at a practice wants another login.
What ClinicFlow does today
ClinicFlow answers every call to a practice 24/7: scheduling, rescheduling, cancelling, and confirming appointments on the live EMR schedule, triaging clinical calls with urgent after-hours escalation to the on-call surgeon, and handling calls in 28 languages. The platform is expanding across the full surgical episode: referral management, pre-op and post-op calls, and prior authorization automation.
“ClinicFlow has increased our revenue by increasing both our surgical and clinic volume, and has decreased our overhead significantly.”Dr. Jeremy Walters, President, Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center (3 locations, 18 providers)
How we work with practices
ClinicFlow is built for independent and mid-size orthopedic, spine, and surgical groups — typically 1 to 15 providers — with published pricing at $0.20 per minute and a live demo line anyone can call without talking to sales. We'd rather you hear the product than read about it: (281) 502-8583.
